MODERN METHODS OF TEACHING ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

Abstract
This scientific article explores the modern methods of teaching English as a second language. With the increasing globalization and importance of English as a global language, the traditional teaching methods have become less effective in meeting the diverse needs of learners. This article reviews and analyzes various innovative and student-centered approaches to teaching English, including communicative language teaching, task-based learning, technology-enhanced instruction, and differentiated instruction. The article highlights the advantages and challenges associated with each method, considering their impact on language acquisition, learner motivation, and cultural competence. Additionally, it examines the role of teachers in implementing these methods effectively, emphasizing the need for continuous professional development and pedagogical adaptability.
