Abstract

Learning a foreign language demands a great effort from learners. The main difficulty in learning language is to speak fluently. There are a lot of methods to develop speaking skill. Learners should follow the rules of language learning in order to achieve success. One of the main ways of improving speech, which gives a chance to practice in pronunciation and fluency, is a communication. Communication is about more than just exchanging information. The effective communication is also a two-way street. It is not only how you convey a message so that it is received and understood by someone in exactly the way you intended, it is also how you listen to gain the full meaning of what is being said and to make the other person feel heard and understood. Communication has a lot of types such as vocal, visual, verbal and written. By communicating, people can learn how to speak effectively and effortlessly. When you hear someone’s speech, sometimes you may misunderstand some words. Then, you will try to pay attention to the speaker’s speech deeply. People often focus on what they should say, but effective communication is less about talking and more about listening. Listening well means not just understanding the words or the information being communicated, but also understanding the emotions the speaker is trying to communicate. There is a big difference between engaged listening and simply hearing.
